SMT/Through Hole Technologies
AccuSpec Electronics, LLC utilizes state of the art high speed Panasonic Equipment including the latest 32 head CM 602. Our lines have a combined placement rate of over 100,000 chips per hour and have rated accuracy to 35 microns. Each of our Dek 03i screen printers is equipped with the latest SPC software so that we have immediate feedback on any potential screen misprints. We also use the Gridlock system to obtain proper and consistent board support. After all, most SMT errors occur in the screen print process and controlling this process is very important to building a high quality product.
As an additional quality measure we utilize Omron 3D optical inspection for solder paste inspection (SPI) control to ensure that both the coverage area and height requirements for applying the paste is met. Typically SPI is applied on a sampling basis except in cases where we have extremely difficult boards or prototypes where we 100% the screen print with SPI.
Our lines use 10 zone (8 heating, 2 cooling) reflow ovens for optimum process control. We check our ovens daily with a reflow profiler to ensure that our ovens meet our exacting requirements. Having the same equipment across multiple SMT lines improves process control through consistency.
Experience
AccuSpec has experience building difficult assemblies for demanding customers. Although we are experienced in building many assemblies with volumes of over 100,000 a year, AccuSpec excels at some of the most difficult and demanding specifications. Where others talk about machine capability we have active experience building with 0201 chip sizes, QFNs, micro BGA, 1 mil pitch BGAs and very large complex boards (up to 18” by 20”).
