AccuSpec Electronics Announces Grand Opening of 60,000 Square Foot State-of –the-Art Facility; 8140 Hawthorne Drive, Erie, PA 16509.
AccuSpec Electronics, a contract electronics manufacturer, announced today that they relocated to a larger facility located at 8140 Hawthorne Drive, Erie, PA 16509 (in the J. Robert Baldwin Industrial Park) to accommodate the company’s growth and future business plans.
The new site is approximately six miles from the previous McKean location, and is conveniently located off Interstate 90 at the Peach Street exit. The new energy efficient facility features advanced environmental controls including TH50 high-efficiency lighting, a new HVAC system, humidity controls, premium Electrostatic Dissipative flooring along with a new high-volume Panasonic Surface Mount Technology production line.
The additional space allows AccuSpec to improve product flow, increasing throughput, productivity and the Company’s competitive advantage. AccuSpec received a state grant to help fund the remodeling and equipment. The Company’s growth plans will help keep jobs in the Erie area and allow them to compete against other non-US contract manufacturers. AccuSpec anticipates growing sales two to three times in the next three to four years and adding production and professional staff accordingly.
